Adventures With Roz the Robot!

This fall, Lower School students had an amazing experience sharing adventures with a wild robot named Roz! A September/October read-along of the chapter book, The Wild Robot, by Peter Brown, allowed students in all the Lower School grades to explore themes of friendship, family, courage, and the balance between technology and the natural world.

Each day, they had opportunities for fun conversations and activities based on the story, sparking connections and building a sense of community. Classes could read every day at the same time, pair up with different grade buddies, adapt the story to correlate with their other studies, or anything to make it fun! At the conclusion of the read-along, students met in the Auditorium to enjoy a bag of popcorn as they watched the newly released movie, adapted from the novel. As one student was heard to say,

If you haven’t read The Wild Robot, well, you should!
