Executive Director
WSD is seeking an Executive Director to begin July 2024. Responsibilities include providing key leadership; operational planning and management; financial planning and management; enrollment, recruiting and retention; compliance and fidelity; educational program development and management; human resources planning; and stakeholder relations. Qualifications include an advanced degree in an academic field of study or in education from an accredited university (PhD or MA); a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a high-level administrator with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in direct classroom teaching. Previous experience within a charter school environment is preferred.

WSD is seeking a part-time Speech Language Therapist for the 2023-24 school year. Responsibilities include evaluating speech, language, and communicating disorders, providing speech language therapy services; collaborating on student lessons, progress monitoring, and reporting expectations; working cooperatively with students, parents, and staff members. 16 – 20 hours per week. WSD is seeking a second grade teacher for the 2023-24 school year. Responsibilities include lesson preparation, large and small group differentiated instruction, student assessment, spending time in the outdoor classroom, and collaborating with a second grade team. WSD is seeking full- and part-time staff for its Faculty Daycare beginning August 2023. Responsibilities include working with other daycare staff to care for children ages infant – 4 years, supervising and monitoring, keeping daily records, preparing and organizing meals and snacks, keeping the daycare clean and hygienic, changing the diapers of infants and toddlers, organizing and implementing age-appropriate activities and curriculum. Applicants should love working with young children, have experience in the daycare setting, and be flexible and reliable. Pay begins at $18.00/hour. Substitute Teachers
Substitute Teachers will be compensated as follows:
- With a current Utah teaching certificate: $140 per full day (over 4 hours), $75 per half day (4 hours or less).
- Without a current Utah teaching certificate: $125 per full day, $65 per half day.
Long-term substitute teachers are those who have taught for 15 consecutive days in the same assignment. After 15 consecutive days, a long-term substitute teacher will be compensated as follows:
- With a current Utah teaching certificate: $155 per day.
- Without a current Utah Teaching certificate: $140 per day.
