Custodian / Bus Driver
WSD is seeking a Custodian / Bus Driver to begin immediately. Responsibilities include driving students to and from school as well as on field trips, and performing custodial work when not engaged on the bus. Applicants must have or be willing to get a Class B CDL with school bus and passenger endorsements. The position is full time with benefits, pay commensurate with experience. Background check and references are required.
Individualized Special Education Aide
WSD is seeking a full time Individualized Special Education Aide to work with one upper elementary age student with physical disabilities. Responsibilities include physical care as well as educational instruction. Full training is provided. The ISEA will work closely with and under the direction of the Special Education Teacher as well as various support personnel. Hours are approximately 9:00am – 2:00pm on every school day. Pay begins at $15 per hour, position is benefits eligible.
Applicants should be ultra reliable and highly teachable, and enjoy working with an amazing student who has physical limitations. Interested candidates should also be physically able to lift approximately 40 pounds on occasion, if needed, and able to push a wheelchair. Working professionally with teachers, parents, students and staff is expected. Experience / CNA experience is a plus. Background check and references are required.
Lower School ParaProfessional
WSD is seeking a paraprofessional for the 2021-22 school year to work with elementary classroom teachers. Duties include working with students in small and large groups, student supervision, and lunch / lunch recess duty. Applicants must be skilled and comfortable working with children, work cooperatively and professionally with teachers, students and parents. Experience as a paraprofessional or aide is desirable. The position is full-time and benefits eligible. References required. Pay is $15/hour.
Substitute Teachers will be compensated as follows:
- With a current Utah teaching certificate: $120 per full day (over 4 hours), $70 per half day (4 hours or less).
- Without a current Utah teaching certificate: $105 per full day, $55 per half day.
Long-term substitute teachers are those who have taught for 15 consecutive days in the same assignment. After 15 consecutive days, a long-term substitute teacher will be compensated as follows:
- With a current Utah teaching certificate: $135 per day.
- Without a current Utah Teaching certificate: $120 per day.
All substitute teachers will receive training on WSD health and safety protocols for the 2020 – 2021 school year.
