WSD Welcomes Tracy Sjostrom!

The WSD Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Tracy Sjostrom will be joining our WSD community as Executive Director beginning July 1, 2024. She will replace retiring director Steve Williams, who has served in the position for the past four years. Tracy brings with her nearly 30 years of experience in education, including 17 years as an administrator in positions that include elementary principal, middle school assistant principal, high school principal, and special education director. As a Park City resident, Tracy has been active in our local community and looks forward to engaging even more on behalf of our school.

Tracy’s vision and educational philosophy align with our school’s mission and vision, relates Emily Voorhees, chair of the Transition Committee. “She will bring fresh perspectives, valuable experience, and strong leadership to WSD. She is a unifier and community builder, and one who values collaboration and teamwork. We are confident that Tracy’s leadership will inspire and empower us to reach new heights.

We will be organizing opportunities for the WSD community to meet and interact with Tracy in the coming weeks and hope that you will join us in extending her a warm welcome. We look forward to your continued support as we embark together on this exciting new chapter at Weilenmann School of Discovery.
