On October 26, General Music students in grades 2, 3, 4, and 5, under the direction of Music Department Chair Alethea Mallia, hosted a “Family Folk Dance Night” at WSD. Families were invited to kick up their heels as they learned traditional American folk dances. With Halloween just days away, participants were also invited to wear costumes they could dance in to the event, and many did! Students had a lot of fun teaching the folk dances they have been learning in Music this term to their families, and as you can see, their families had a lot of fun, too!
