WSD was excited to welcome families and friends to the 13th annual Spring Arts Festival and Fundraiser on May 25. The festival is our biggest on-campus event and one that raises important funds for the school. The student art show featured 2-D and 3-D works that aligned with curricular studies from each grade, supported by WSD’s partnership with the Beverley Taylor Sorenson Arts Learning Program. In the same space, guests browsed a silent auction of generously donated items and services. The live auction of class art projects was interspersed with grade level dances to original choreography as well as performances from the Middle School “Discovery” Band and some special video presentations.

Original student art work and performances were amazing, and parents outdid themselves in their support! Many thanks to Susannah Barnes and her committee for organizing this much loved event, to Nathan Florence for being a “larger-than-life” emcee, and to all those who contributed in any way to the success of this year’s Spring Arts Festival and Fundraiser.
