Spirit Week

How do students liven up a month with no holidays or school breaks? At WSD, the answer is Spirit Week, which happens in the middle of March, the “longest” month of the school year. During this week, students and teachers are invited to be creative and show their school spirit by dressing up according to daily themes.

Middle School student government coordinated this year’s Spirit Week, which included a Pajama Day (with shoes!), Generation Day (the 60s, 70s, or 80s), Color Day (each grade dresses in a specific color), Triplet Thursday (at least 3 students dress alike), and Anything But A Backpack Day (students bring all their school items in something other than a backpack). Spirit Week activities reach across grade levels and build community. It is a fun week and a fun way to promote school spirit, positive culture, and good memories among our students.
