My Weilenmann Experience

Garrett

(Speech given at WSD’s Open House on February 16, 2023)

GarrettGood evening, I am Garrett. I have been here at Weilenmann since Kindergarten. Now I am in fifth grade and I am here to talk about Weilenmann and my experiences here.

Weilenmann is not just a school to me, it feels more like a summer camp. Each day we have an exciting special. Specials include music, art, PE, and library. Each year I have been here, when I walk into school in the morning, the first thing that pops into my head is that I can’t wait for PE. I can’t wait for art. That is something that really gets me going in the morning.

Not only do I love the specials teachers, I love our homeroom teachers too. They have always shown me compassion and kindness throughout the school year.

Weilenmann has changed me. Not just the way I look at the world, but the way I feel in this world. Every single year that I have been here, they’ve made me feel welcome and at home.

Now, when I first came here in Kindergarten, I didn’t know what to expect. But I am telling you right now that you should expect a whole world of fun. I hope to see you next school year!
