Students, parents, teachers, administrators, and board members past and present joined together on February 12 to celebrate Weilenmann School of Discovery’s 10th year of operation. Woodward Park City hosted the event and provided donuts and hot chocolate for the 300+ people who attended. Current families enjoyed mingling and reminiscing with former families, and many of the kids were able to enjoy activities at the Woodward facility. Included in the mix were former faculty from WSD’s first year, including Mary Kimball, the school’s first Principal, and Melinda Kaufman, Cara Robins, and Shannon Kitchens, classroom teachers. “I wouldn’t miss it!” remarked Mary Kimball, who has kept close ties with WSD over the years. Also in attendance was Merry Fusselman, who wrote WSD’s original charter. In commenting on the success of the evening, Cindy Phillips remarked, “Tonight was absolutely joyful as we remembered just how far we’ve come, and all the people who helped get us here.”

Thank you to all the WSD families, faculty, and friends over the years who have helped “get us here.” We appreciate you more than we can say, and look forward with great anticipation to the next 10 years at Weilenmann School of Discovery.
