Personal Statement
I am among the “founding teachers” at Weilenmann School of Discovery, and have been in the classroom for more than 20 years. It seems that each year of teaching contributes experiences that help me with the following year’s class. A lot of things have changed over the years, but what hasn’t changed is how rewarding working with children can be. There is nothing more satisfying than witnessing the “light bulb” going off in a child’s head, when something new has been learned, or when a concept finally clicks. If I can instill confidence, work ethic and a love of learning in my students, it will impact them for the rest of their lives. Teaching is the one profession that influences all others, and I am proud to be part of it!
