Recently, the Middle School Jazz Band, led by Nathan O’Bryant, gave a lunchtime performance at the Park City Senior Center. The crowd was lively and even started dancing! One of the audience members happened to be a musician herself. She pulled out her clarinet and was then invited to jam with the Jazz Band. It was a great collaboration that has since continued. Roseanne Jamrok has been attending WSD’s Middle School Jazz Band rehearsals before school on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. During these early morning rehearsals, the musicians come together to work on new songs as well as tighten up songs in their existing repertoire. “Roseanne is a real inspiration to the student band members,” according to Mr. O’Bryant. “She is raising their playing level.”
