Personal Statement

For over twenty years, I’ve been immersed in the world of educational technology, and what keeps me going is seeing the positive impact it can have on a school community. It’s not just about the hardware and software; it’s about how these tools can empower teachers to teach more effectively, help students learn in exciting new ways, and make the day-to-day operations of a school more efficient. My time at Weilenmann School of Discovery, since 2010, has been an incredible journey of building and nurturing our technology infrastructure from the ground up. I’ve worn many hats, from making sure our networks are secure to helping staff get the most out of their tech, and every step has been driven by a commitment to creating a supportive and safe digital environment.

I’m a firm believer in the power of continuous learning, both for myself and for our school. I’m constantly exploring new technologies and approaches that can enhance the learning experience and make it more personal for each student. There’s nothing more satisfying than seeing a teacher discover a new way to engage their students with technology or watching a student’s eyes light up when they grasp a concept through an interactive tool. Collaboration is key – I thrive on working with our amazing teachers, listening to our insightful students, and connecting with our supportive families to find creative solutions and build a learning community that is truly ready for whatever the future holds.
