Citizens of the Year

This week we recognized eight students from our Middle School in an annual awards ceremony celebrating “Citizens of the Year.”  Teachers were asked to nominate students who they felt have most embodied our school values and created a positive impact by their daily actions this year. Abigail Boyarski, Juniper Cole, Dominick Ferreira, Miles Drake, Alexis Frank, Kinu George, Sophia Wilson, and Niko Steck were presented with the 2026 awards.

“We are so grateful for the way these students lead in our classes, the way they treat their friends, and the legacy they will leave with our school forever,” shared Principal Elizabeth Phillips. “These are students who enhance our school culture in every space and environment they enter, and who combine their academic achievements with an incredible sense of social responsibility. They remind us that the future isn’t just something we are looking forward to, it’s something we are building right now.”

The annual recognition is a celebration of sustained, consistent character that is quietly demonstrated every day in all situations. We are proud of this year’s Citizens of the Year and look forward to seeing the impact they will one day make on the wider world.
