Gina Cox grew up near Kent, Ohio and attended Kent State University’s Aviation program, where she earned her private pilot certificate. When the events of September 11 temporarily shut down that program, Gina took a summer ranch job in Colorado and realized that the mountains were where she was meant to be! She received her BS from Colorado State University in Agricultural Business with an emphasis in Animal Science, and Recreation and Tourism Management, and spent her early career as a veterinary technician, animal behaviorist, and backcountry guide.

For 12 years, Gina and her husband made several job-related moves throughout the western United States, finally putting down roots in Kamas in 2019 to raise their two children, one of which attends WSD. Gina began volunteering at WSD book fairs and then on the Development Committee before joining the Board. She currently drives a school bus for Park City School District, and is the president of the Park City Classified Employees Association. Gina is also a team member of Great Basin K9 Search and Rescue as a canine owner/handler, and is the current training officer. She enjoys being active in her community and has assisted with fundraising and event planning for non-profit organizations over the years. When she is not working or volunteering, Gina is outside playing with her family and their dogs!
