Part-Time Special Education Aide
WSD is seeking a Special Education Aide to begin immediately. Hours are approximately 9:00am- 2:00pm on every regular school day. Responsibilities include assistance with educational goals in individual and small group settings. Applicants should be ultra reliable and highly teachable, and enjoy working in the Special Education environment. Experience is a plus. Background check and references are required. Full training is provided. Pay begins at $20 per hour.
Custodian
WSD is seeking a School Custodian to begin immediately. Responsibilities include performing custodial work and light facilities maintenance. The position is 30-40 hours per week and is eligible for benefits. Additional hours as a back-up bus driver are available. Training is provided. Applicants must be able to lift approx. 40 pounds, be ultra reliable, and work collaboratively and professionally with students and staff. Background check and references required.
Bus Driver
WSD is seeking a part-time bus driver to drive students from the Salt Lake or Kamas/Heber area to and from the school each day, morning and afternoon, as well as on field trips. Approx. 27 hours/week. Pay is $28/hour. Applicants must have a Class B CDL with school bus and passenger endorsements. Background check and references required.
Substitute Teachers
Substitute Teachers will be compensated as follows:
- With a current Utah teaching certificate: $140 per full day (over 4 hours), $75 per half day (4 hours or less).
- Without a current Utah teaching certificate: $125 per full day, $65 per half day.
Long-term substitute teachers are those who have taught for 15 consecutive days in the same assignment. After 15 consecutive days, a long-term substitute teacher will be compensated as follows:
- With a current Utah teaching certificate: $155 per day.
- Without a current Utah Teaching certificate: $140 per day.
