Personal Statement

During graduate school, as I pursued a Music degree, I also worked part time as a 4th grade math tutor.  It was during this time that I discovered how fulfilling it is to be a teacher, and decided to pursue it as a profession.  I am passionate about creativity, expression and innovation, and was thrilled to find a home at Weilenmann School of Discovery.  I love to introduce students to new ways of looking at things, and believe that the world can be an amazing and limitless place with the right perspective.  My main areas of focus as a music teacher are to include every student in the learning process, and to do the best I can to help them become complete musicians.  I feel lucky to work with young people who are so full of optimism, and enjoy teaching them that “Music is Play.”
