WSD Bus Driver Wanted

WSD is seeking a bus driver to do AM and PM school routes, along with additional driving for field trips, etc. as needed. Current CDL with passenger/school bus (P/S) endorsement is preferred, but not required. Pay is $10-15/hr DOE. Bus drivers must meet all Utah state requirements. Spanish and French Clubs

Spanish and French clubs continue as usual in Room 270 on Mondays (Spanish) and Wednesdays (French) at 3:15pm. $150 for 10 classes. Pay in advance at the front desk. For more information, contact Henry Ponnefz at email hidden; JavaScript is required.

Bill McGinnis, Ukulele Club

Open House January 18

WSD will host another Open House on Wednesday, January 18 from 9 – 10:30am in anticipation of the 2012 – 2013 school year. This is another opportunity to spread the word to families and friends. WSD families are our best ambassadors!

Pre-registration for 2012 – 2013

A reminder that pre-registration forms for the 2012 – 2013 school year should be completed and returned to the classroom teacher January 20.

Think Math

“Think Math” is coming to WSD on January 24. This is an after school math program from Stanford University for students in grades K – 5. Jump Rope for Heart and Hoops for Heart

February will be Heart Health month at WSD. Students will participate in the American Heart Association’s “Jump Rope for Heart” (K – 2) and “Hoops for Heart” (3 – 5) programs. More details will follow.

Travel Clean Car Wash Cards

WSD students are selling car wash cards. Each card is $35 and is good for $35 in car washes at Travel Clean (Kimball Junction). This is a fantastic fundraiser for our school. Costa Rica Trip

Henry Ponnefz is offering a Spanish Trip to Costa Rica during WSD Spring Break, April 7 – 15, open to students in grades 5 – 8, parents, siblings and friends. For more information, contact email hidden; JavaScript is required.

Kids Night Out

Black Diamond will host another “Kids Night Out” event on Friday, February 3. Drop off your children between 6:30 – 9:30 for $25 per child, snack provided. Black Diamond generously donates 80% of the proceeds from “Kids Night Out” to Weilenmann School!

Kids Yoga

The Winter 2012 Kids Yoga session begins January 17. Registration details are in the Winter Compass Catalog.
