Early-out Thursday Information


For the next five Thursdays, the “Get Out and Play” (GOAP) program will run for WSD students in grades 1 – 5. The program begins this Thursday, January 5, and ends on Thursday, February 2. To accommodate GOAP, the following procedures have been created and should be noted by all students and parents:

Kindergarten

Students in Kindergarten will keep to their regular schedules. There are no changes to Kindergarten programs.

Grades 1-5

GOAP STUDENTS: Students in grades 1 – 5 who are participating in GOAP should bring belongings clearly marked and in a bag. Each step in our auditorium will be labeled by grade. Upon arrival at school, students should place ALL gear on the row labeled with their corresponding grades.

GOAP students will meet in the following areas at 12:45pm:

  • PCMR (Park City Mtn Resort) – front foyer
  • UOP (Utah Olympic Park – ski jumping) – Stage – West side
  • White Pine (cross country skiing) – Stage – East side

Parents volunteering to assist with “gear up” should meet students in the classrooms and escort them to the areas referenced above.

GOAP Students will return to school as follows:

  • White Pine – 3:30pm
  • Utah Olympic Park – 3:45pm
  • Park City Mountain Resort – 4:45pm

Please arrive to retrieve your child(ren) at or BEFORE the scheduled return time.

Non-GOAP Students

Students in grades 1 – 5 who are NOT participating in GOAP will be released at 12:30pm to go home. Both the Salt Lake and Park City buses will run at 12:30pm. Students enrolled in Know Fun Intended’s on-campus Get Out and Play program should go directly to room 270 at 12:30pm, and plan to be picked up by parents at 3:05pm. Students in the regular KFI after school program will remain until 5:30pm and follow their normal pickup procedures.

Lower School Homework Club will not be available.

Middle School

Middle School students will keep their regular schedules. There are no changes to the MS program.
