Lower School assemblies and exhibitions are now calendared for the year. Here is a printable schedule of those to which parents are invited. Please keep it handy!

Lower School Assemblies and Exhibitions

2011 – 2012

Parents are invited to attend the following events as applicable. All are scheduled on Wednesdays from 2 – 3:00pm. Locations are indicated.

September 28 Read With Me Assembly – Grades 1 – 3. Auditorium. Parents are invited to spend time with Mary Kimball and Kathy Turner from 2 – 2:30pm as they present this year’s Reading Initiative. From 2:30 – 3:00pm, parents are invited to individual classrooms for paired reading. Classroom teachers will provide reading materials.

October 5 Read With Me Assembly – Grades 4 – 5. Auditorium. Parents are invited to spend time with Mary Kimball and Kathy Turner from 2 – 2:30pm as they present this year’s Reading Initiative. From 2:30 – 3:00pm, parents are invited to individual classrooms for paired reading. Classroom teachers will provide reading materials.

November 2 5th Grade Colonial Fair Exhibition. Cafetasium. Students will conclude their study of early America by re-enacting a Colonial market place. Grades 3 & 4 are invited to attend the Fair at 2:30pm.

January 11 1st Grade Community Helpers Wax Museum Exhibition. Cafetasium. Students pay tribute to the helpers in our community by being statues in a “wax museum” that celebrates the helpers around us. Grades K & 2 are invited to attend at 2:30pm.

February 1 4th Grade Exhibition. Cafetasium. Students present highlights from their 4th grade studies. Grades 3 & 5 are invited to attend at 2:30pm.

February 29 3rd Grade Famous Person Exhibition. Cafetasium. Students spotlight famous people throughout history. Grades 4 & 5 are invited to attend at 2:30pm.

March 14 Kindergarten Assembly. Auditorium Stage. “Social Studies” is the theme for this assembly from our youngest students. Parents and K students only.

April 4 2nd Grade Animal Exhibition. Second Grade Classrooms. Students in 2nd grade display their finished animal research projects. Grades K & 1 are invited to attend at 2:30pm.

April 18 3rd Grade World’s Fair Exhibition. Students culminate their research unit on countries of the world with an exhibition showcasing each country studied. Grades 4 & 5 are invited to attend at 2:30pm.

May 16 5th Grade “Guess My State” Exhibition. Students in 5th grade celebrate the 50 nifty United States with an exhibition that highlights the unique contributions of every state. Grades 3 & 4 are invited to attend at 2:30pm.
